Sermon Series Continuing this Sunday, October 2.
The Christian Life is a Battle! And our enemy is stronger than we are! We need help! Thankfully, our Savior Jesus is stronger than our enemy! And, He provides us with everything we need to be victorious over our enemy!
This week, we will see that before we put on the armor of God, we must first put on a new self! This new self is very different from the old self that we were born with. This new self enables the life change that is needed to lead us forward in Christian growth and development.
I look forward to encouraging you towards the new self as we meet for worship this Sunday.
THIS SUNDAY we will have our next Growth Intensive seminars. There are a great number of courses to choose from this time, all relating to discipleship - growing deeper in our faith. Pick the right seminar to attend and come ready to learn and grow. I am looking forward to teaching through our statement of faith: The Baptist Faith and Message.
55+ Adult Fellowship
Pam and I are looking forward to hosting Ridgecrest members 55 and over at our home on October 9, from 3:00 until 6:00 PM. There will be a cook out and lots of great fellowship. Be on the lookout for information in the bulletin and be sure to sign up!
You will want to pay attention to Sunday evening activities at Ridgecrest this fall. Prayer Service, Laughter and Latte for our women, Growth Intensives for Christian Growth, conferences dealing with end of life issues and elder care, children's choir, and other activities make Ridgecrest the Sunday night place to be!
Every once in a while, it's good to give things a fresh look. You will notice a new look on our website, the bulletin, church signs, and our church logo. This is to keep our mission and purpose always at the forefront of everything we do. Thanks for the positive feedback we've received already.
Remember, with Jesus, our best days are always ahead!
